MY AVON "MINISTRY"
I've been selling Avon since 2005 and am a Unit Leader, President's Club member, Beauty Advisor, and was awarded the 2008 "Spirit of Avon" award. I'm very proud of that one, because for me, Avon is my "ministry".
My Mom was a single Mom, with all the struggle, fears, and hardship that that implies. And I remember well the neighbors, and strangers, who helped my Mom "get a leg up" when I was small. The church where she got a part time job stuffing envelopes. The neighbor who - after seeing my Mom's exhausted and terrified face (from knocking on 50 doors!) - happily agreed to babysit me. The landlady who let us move in without charging the full security deposit.
Kindness to struggling single Moms, or to single people really dedicated to making a success out of the life they've been given - - that moves me. Because I've been greatly blessed in my life, I've had it easier because of the people who helped my Mom, and who've helped me.
C'MON... THOSE MLM THINGS ARE JUST SCAMS!
I believe the old saying, "What goes around, comes around". So part of my integrity means I won't sell you what I don't believe in - including the business. Owning your own business is *NOT* right for EVERYone. So, is Avon a SCAM? One of those things where the only people who make any money are at the top, and they just want you to stock a bunch of product & make someone ELSE rich?
I admit it -- when I first started I didn't think anyone made any real money with Avon. Because I didn't **KNOW** anyone who was serious about their Avon business! Avon money is REAL money. I've seen past the hype and "pyramid scam" drama, mostly because I have personally met women making from $60,000 a year, to $8 million a year! Real women... real lives & problems... REAL MONEY.
It is NOT COMPLICATED. But it *IS* a real business. You have to put in consistent time, and stay focused on your end goal. More than one of my team members made it to the President's Club sales level THEIR 1st YEAR!
